If Lincoln ever gets around to making a Mustang-based luxury coupe, they should call it the Lincoln Corsair. Thoughts?

Well, that’s disappointing. It’s too good of a name to go on a mediocre compact crossover.

I don’t think they will, I don’t see a business case for it which is a d@mn shame, but if they do it should be called the “ Mark 9" in my humble opinion.

I approve of this. Here’s my first car, 90 LSC bought with the body kit and wing off the show room floor by my grand mom (white ). Also had a loaded 98 Mark VIII LSC and currently a 92 LSC-SE waiting for light resto (red )

I was thinking about this in the middle of the night not too long ago, for no reason but insomnia. Either MkIX or LSC. The MkVII was a badass mustang based coupe, the MkVIII was a... thing, the MkIX should rightfully be the next one, with the LSC (maybe LSC II) being the fancy sports version. They’ll be marketing to professional 40-50 s omethings who remember the older ones anyway, make it look incredible, give it a world class interior, and price it $20k over the mustang so  it doesn't  cannibalize buyers, which let’s face it, it won’t really do anyway because mustang buyers want a rip snorting pony car. Aim it at the BMW, Lexus and MBZ coupes. It might not make a shitload of money but Lincoln needs a Halo car because the Conti ain't it.
